Two Austrian under-23 cyclists, Stefan Ebner and Marco Oreggia, were suspended for two years Thursday for doping offenses.
Oreggia tested positive for the banned endurance-boosting hormone EPO in training a week before the world road championships in Salzburg in September.
Ebner failed to appear for a doping test on September 14, a violation considered the same as testing positive by the Austrian cycling federation's anti-doping committee.
Both cyclists will appeal the suspensions, committee head Gernot Schaar said.
