THE 2008 TOUR OF ARKANSAS - PRESS RELEASE

This year will see the launch of the Inaugural Tour of Arkansas. Two other great Arkansas events – The Tri-Peaks Challenge Stage Race (NRC) and the Celebrity Classic have now joined forces and become the Tour of Arkansas. The events slogan for this year - “23,000 Feet Of
Climbing; 4 Days Of Racing; 2 Mountain Top Finishes; 1 Great Race ”

The 2008 event will start just 3 days after the huge Joe Martin NRC event in Fayetteville AR. The “Tour” will be based primarily out of Russellville AR – just 90 minutes from Fayetteville. These back to back events will now enable the riders to participate in two quality stage races
in the same state in the same week.

PRO 1 / 2 MEN - Stage Details:
Stage 1: EPIC Road Race. 110 Miles. 10,500+ Feet of Climbing
Stage 2: PETIT JEAN, NEBO. 98 Miles, 5,500+ Feet of Climbing.
Stage 3: Mt.MAGAZINE. 97 Miles, 6,600+ Feet of Climbing.
Stage 4: VAN BUREN, Criterium Finale

All other USAC categories will compete in 3 Stages over 2 Days.
