Source Endurance Announces Research Division and Appoints Steve Zinkgraft as Research Director
The SE research division will design, implement and publish studies on human performance, as well as develop SE proprietary methods. The research division will be focused on providing our consulting group with valuable data and methods that will facilitate our clients continued success on the race course and in their chosen personal pursuits. We will publish through standard channels that research deemed to be of broad based and non-proprietary in nature to further contribute to the endurance athletic community.
Source Endurance is also pleased to announce that Steve Zinkgraf, PhD, will join the SE staff as research director. Steve will operate primarily out of the new SE lab in San Marcos, TX. The San Marcos lab is provisioned as a mirror to the primary lab in Austin, with an SRM ergometer, Parvo metabolic cart, and Woodway treadmill. SE will utilize the two labs, both equipped with world-class equipment to assure collection of the most accurate data possible. Find out more about Steve's background at the SE website.
With clients posting 3 USAC National Championships in the last 18 months, Source Endurance continues to establish itself as a thought leader for training design and management in the endurance sports community. The launch of an additional lab and formation of the research division is a clear indication that SE is stepping up its commitment to its clients and to the endurance sports community to continue to drive advancement in the design and management of endurance training.
Directed research is scheduled to begin immediately with 4 specific studies, one of which will be conducted at the Texas A&M low speed wind tunnel in November analyzing rider position and drag utilizing Retul motion capture technology.
