Kirsipuu snatches Polish stage; Paolini pads lead

Jaan Kirsipuu (Crédit Agricole) won the third stage of the Tour of Poland, held over 212km between Ostroda and Bydgoszcz on Wednesday.

Italian Luca Paolini (Quick Step) consolidated his overall lead by finishing second. Max van Heeswijk (Discovery Channel) crossed third.

"It was the kind of finish I like," Kirsipuu told Reuters. "There was a small climb and the wind was blowing against us. I decided to stay behind Max van Heeswijk and to follow his pace. With 200 meters to go I made my move and I passed him."
