Biography

Cunego won the Giro d’Italia in 2004 when he was 22. He was riding as a domestique at the time, under team leader Gilberto Simoni. He excels at climbing, but his overall ability is still improving, which makes him one of the best stage racers. In 2006 he won the overall young rider classification at the Tour de France.
