Biography
Growing up on a farm in rural Belgiun, Gardeyn was active in a variety of sports, before finally settling on cycling at the age of 15. He began his pro career in 2001. Gardeyn returns to the Lotto team, having ridden for Lotto-Domo in 2003 and 2004. He spent 2007 as a member of the ill-fated Unibet team.
