After two years of traumatic changes and repeated doping scandals, there is hope for positive improvement at Astana with a new management structure headed by Belgian Johan Bruyneel (ex-Discovery Channel) and Frenchman Alain Gallopin (ex-CSC). Bruyneel has brought eight riders with him, headed by Tour de France stars Contador and Leipheimer, who join another Tour podium regular, Klöden, to make a powerful lineup for the grand tours. As for the classics, Gusev, Horner and Ivanov could all have a shot at a major win.
